Soak shrubs periodically during dry spells with enough water to moisten the soil to a depth of 8-10 inches. Grab a bubbler hose attachment at the garden center. It waters slow and soft. Just what your plants need.
Check that your mulch hasn’t decomposed and add more as needed – no more than 3” deep and never touching the bark of the plant.
