Plant of The Week: Iberis (Candytuft)

Candytuft reminds us of white snow atop a beautiful carpet of dark green, but it’s really a sure sign that spring is on its way! White blooms cover dark green foliage that remains after the flowering tapers off in early summer. Averaging about 6”-10” tall and 6”-18” wide, their mounding growth habit looks beautiful in borders, along sidewalks, in garden beds and even in containers!

Full sun (at least 6 hours per day)

Prefers moist, well-draining soil with a pH of 6.5 – 7.5.

Moderately drought tolerant once established.

Fertilize in spring with a flower fertilizer like Dr. Earth Total Advantage or Dynamite
